5. Lament
The 'Lament' is sung by the people of Troy and all others affected by the war. Style: lament.
Patroclus returns to the battlefield in Achilles's armour and is slain by Hector. When the real Achilles learns what has happened he takes up arms once more, intent on revenge. Achilles and Hector meet in battle and Hector is slain. Wails are heard from the suffering people of Troy.
