CBBC Me and My Movie is a BBC film-making initiative which aims to inspire and develop film-making and storytelling skills in children aged 6-14.
This year we're working together with the Tate on something very exciting...
The Tate Movie Project encourages children aged 5 - 13 from across the UK to contribute their drawings, story ideas, sound effects, characters and jokes to feature in a 20 minute animated film. The film will be produced by Aardman Animations (the company behind Wallace and Gromit) and broadcast on BBC TV in 2011.
A range of activities supporting the Tate Movie Project are being funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity established to fund cultural activities for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and leave a lasting legacy across the UK.
