I Know Me has been developed, written and produced to provide SEN teachers with the template for an accessible, inclusive, mixed-genre musical. The production has the ingredients of mainstream musical theatre while at the same time being manageable for pupils with special educational needs.
This project was designed to be developed and produced in schools as an extra-curricular activity. Over the course of a school term the activities involved in producing the musical present a range of challenges to develop pupils' ability to grasp key concepts in a variety of subject areas - particularly Music, Drama, PSE and Design & Technology. It provides an opportunity across year groups for cross-curricular, inter-disciplinary learning.
