Objectives
- Pupils measure and draw angles to the nearest degree, and use language associated with angle.

Teaching activities
Mental Starter
- At least 5 random questions on metric to metric conversions:
"How many m in a cm?" - Then conversion questions.
"Convert 5m into cm."
Activity
- Define the key words.
- Lots of quick fire questions from the board:
"Which word describes this angle?" - Give out the worksheet.
- All pupils should be able to get started, pupils could move on at their own pace.
- The teacher should ensure that everybody has understood the language by marking his or her work during the lesson as she is walking around.
Extension
- Accurately drawing diagrams and locus.
Plenary
- A pupil stands facing away from the board.
One of the key words from the day is written above her head.
She has 4 questions to help her to guess the word.
Homework
- Design a poster that uses all of the key words.
