### Teaching activities

#### Mental Starter

- Lots of quick fire questions on:
- 180 - 40
- 180 - 2 x 40
- 180 - 60

#### Activity

- Continue with the quick fire questions.
- Draw isosceles triangles on the board; "If this is 40°, what is this? So what is this?" Lots of questions.
- Then give out the worksheet.
- Pupils should be able to tackle the first part now.
- Bring the class back together.
- Continue with the quick fire questions.
- Draw isosceles triangles on the board; "If this is 40° what is this? So what is this?" Lots of questions.
- Introduce the second part of the sheet. "How do I know that these are isosceles triangles?"

#### Extension

- Introduce more circle theory.

#### Plenary

- Lots of quick fire questions on isosceles triangles and isosceles triangles in circles.
