Heroes of the Home Front
BBC links
The resources available here encourage children to connect with 'living history' through first-hand stories about life on the Home Front during the war.
Key learning objectives include:
- Interview technique and practice
- Internet research
- Imagination through role-play and activities
Through utilising BBC resources such as the WW2 People's War website, the Primary History website and printable worksheets made for this resource, children's learning will be enriched and their understanding of the Home Front in the UK and further afield will be broadened.
The aim is to inspire children to upload the information they discover to the BBC Memoryshare website which will make their findings available to the public for years to come.
