Doctor Who - Script to Screen competition

Print page

Can I include Amy and/or Rory in my script?

Yes. The script should feature Amy and/or Rory. Please refer to the entry criteria to find out what to include in your script.

Can I include any other characters from Doctor Who in my script?

No. The script cannot feature any other Doctor Who characters such as River Song. For a full list of characters which can be included please read the terms and conditions.

Can home educated children enter?

Yes. Although the teaching resources have been designed for the classroom, they can easily be adapted to a home school environment. As long as entries fulfil the other entry criteria, for example, children work in groups of 2-4, are within the age criteria and follow the rules for script content, we will accept home school entries. The lead facilitator must submit and sign the entry form in place of a teacher.

Can secondary school pupils enter?

No. The teaching resources have been designed for upper primary school pupils and tie in directly with the Key Stage 2 curriculum. Children must meet the age criteria (be aged between 9-11 on August 31st 2012).
Middle school pupils who fulfil the criteria can enter.

Can you give me feedback on my school's script?

No. Due to the volume of entries, we cannot give feedback on individual scripts.

Will the resources still be available after the competition has closed?

We're happy to inform you that Doctor Who Script to Screen will be available as a literacy pack, free to use, in the foreseeable future.
