Desceliers' World Map

This video clip is about the Desceliers' World Map of 1550. Take a guided tour of the map made for the French king, Henry II. The map combines fact and fiction, depicting actual areas of the world known at that time, alongside mythical beasts and fantasies in areas of the world not know of at that time.

Teacher's supporting script

An accompanying script to help teachers in the classroom is available to download.
