Bang Goes the Theory - Teacher's pack

Print page

The series 3 and 4 Bang Goes the Theory pack is no longer available, if you have already ordered your new pack, it will arrive at your school at the end of September.

You will also be able to download an online version from mid September.

What is the Bang Goes the Theory Teacher's Pack - Series 3 and 4?

Following the success of the first Bang Goes the Theory Teacher's Pack, BBC Learning is compiling a brand new BBC resource pack using some of the best clips from series 3 and 4 of the hit BBC One show, Bang Goes the Theory. Each lesson plan is accompanied by clips from the series, along with curriculum links and specially designed resources that teachers can use to produce science lessons for secondary school students.

Why are we producing the pack?

Research conducted by the BBC showed that 99% of teachers questioned wanted to see more of this kind of content and support from the BBC with links to quality programming. After the success of the first Bang Goes the Theory Teacher's Pack, which was distributed to over 3,000 schools across the UK, we want even more people to put science to the test in 2011.

What does the pack cover?

The resource pack includes a DVD that is divided into sections and has been exclusively edited from series 3 and 4 of Bang Goes the Theory. Each section looks at topics from the National Curriculum for science and is accompanied by a corresponding lesson plan and resources.

The pack has been designed and produced in collaboration with education and science experts. It aims to inspire learning in young people and provide new and creative ways to teach the secondary science curriculum.
