Was the arrival of the SRR too coincidental?
User crazyirishhamster has wrote in about the recent tragedy in Northern Ireland where soon after Special Forces were sent to gather intelligence on the the republican group, two soldiers and a policeman were killed.
The Northern Ireland Killings
A policeman and two soldiers were killed in Northern Ireland recently, which could have been instigated by a recent deployment of British Special Forces' undercover operation against the dissident republican groups. The Special Forces were called out by Northern Ireland Police Chief Sir Hugh Orde to gather intelligence on the dissident groups.
Although the killings would have taken a considerate amount of time to plan, it is believed that the deployment of the Special Forces is too coincidental to be ignored, therefore it could be a critical factor to take into account.
The confirmation by Hugh Orde, the PSNI chief constable, of the arrival of the Armed Forces (Special Reconnaissance Regiment) SRR appears too coincidental to be dismissed and Mr McGuinness said the decision to deploy the Special Forces was "stupid and dangerous".
A policeman and two soldiers were killed in Northern Ireland recently, the dissident republican groups have claimed to be behind the murders which could have been instigated by a recent deployment of British Special forces undercover operation against the dissident republican groups.
Police constable Carroll was shot dead in Lismore Manor, in Craigavon, on Monday. Following his death two soldiers were killed as they were receiving a pizza delivery on Saturday at Massereene Army base in Antrim.
The Real IRA said they killed the soldiers Mark Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, from London, who died in a hail of bullets.
After officers searched a number of homes on the Drumbeg estate, a youth aged 17 and a 37-year-old man were arrested and now remain in police custody for questioning in connection with the murder of Constable Carroll.
People across Northern Ireland are expected to attend a series of rallies to show their anger at the murders of two soldiers and a policeman and to show their support for the peace process to continue.
The real IRA has said to be behind the killings of the two soldiers and the Continuity IRA says it shot dead the policeman.

The Dissident Republicans
Both the Real IRA and the Continuity IRA are from the dissident republican groups that split from the Provisional IRA.
The Real IRA was founded in the autumn of 1997, in protest at Sinn Féin and the Continuity IRA dates from a split in Sinn Féin in 1986, It was only after the Provisional IRA declared a ceasefire in 1994 that Continuity IRA became active. "Continuity" refers to the group's belief that it is continuing to fight for the original IRA goal of forcing the British from Northern Ireland.
Below are some facts of The Real IRA and the continuity IRA's actvity.
It is believed that The Real IRA:
- Is the dissident republican group that was behind Northern Ireland's single worst atrocity, the August 1998 Omagh bombing which killed 29 people.
- Was also behind the bombing that caused an international and domestic outcry that put pressure on republican dissidents to curb their violence.
- Claimed responsibility for shooting two off-duty policemen in November 2007.
No-one has been convicted for the bombing.
It is beleived that The Continuity IRA:
- Also known as the Continuity Army Council, emerged in 1994 as the guerrilla wing of the splinter political group Republican Sinn Fein, which split from Sinn Fein in 1986.
- Is opposed to any deal not based on a united Ireland
- In the past, its name has been used to claim responsibility for terrorist attacks that were actually the work of the Real IRA.
- The Independent Monitoring Commission found that Continuity IRA was behind rocket grenade and bomb attacks on police last summer as well as a series of criminal activities which involved drug dealing, robbery and "tiger" kidnapping (abduction as part of a robbery), extortion, fuel laundering and smuggling.
According the Guardian that;
The Ideology of a United Ireland
The IRA's objective is to have an Independent Republic which was pursued at a political level by Sinn Féin, a Irish Nationalist, many people are still wanting Ireland as a republic independent from British ruling. This ultimately is the source of the wars and killings that have taken place in Northern Ireland.
As some groups such as the Continuity IRA have vowed to continue their struggle, the status of Northen Ireland is to goes on.
