Introduction
This book was a comic book format, but never the less it was gripping. I am a big fan of Ghost busters so when I saw the book Ghost busters, I knew I was going to enjoy it. This book is funny and very exciting.
It left suspense after every single chapter and it made me want to carry on reading with lots of enthusiasm. I must say this is an excellent book to review. The ghosts in this book were scary and entertaining at the same time.
Plot
This plot is kind of simple. This book is written so that it is obvious to the reader who the evil person is. But on some chapters it starts with the Ghost busters going to the place where the ghost will just fly in from (example - In the theatre of pain the ghost busters start to go to the theatre for a musical until a big tentacled tall freaky monster barges through the wall). This is how simple the plot is but it does work.
Characters
It was obvious the main character and the leader of Ghostbusters are Peter, because all the bad things happened to Peter first. This made him act and look as if he's the Leader.
Winston had always been the one with the guts. Like on chapter 5 when a big scary ghost was in front of him and he ran up the ghost and said "hyaaa!!!" and next thing you know he was sucked up and conquered.
Egon is always the brains of everything. He always used those big fancy words that when the other person heard it they said "huh?" Frankly if I had a conversation with Egon I would have said the same thing.
Ray has always been the clown of all of this but when it came to business he would fight for his life and that makes him a good person to be in the team.
In summary
Basically, the book is packed full of excitement, action, humour and thrill which makes for an excellent read. I have to say this was one of the best comic book formats I have read in a long time. It was good in the way that it was like the book grabbed onto the reader as if it was alive. The pictures of the ghosts are extraordinary. So when you see the ghost you think oh, the ghost is really powerful, how would they catch him. This book is really quite gripping and I didn't want to put it down until I had read it all. It is an easy and good read from start to finish.
