I was sitting down for my tea
With a whole glass of milk all for me.
Then Peter came along and was so thirsty
That I halved my milk equally.

Then two more friends said ‘We’re thirsty!’
So Pete halved his and I halved mine
Four quarter helpings all in a line.

My class went swimming the other day.
But when we arrived, to our dismay,
There were three other classes there to swim
And all four teachers looked so grim.

‘I’ll need some floats for it’s execution’.
Divide the pool in half, width ways to start
Then again lengthways - that's 4 equal/quarter parts!
