Ow Poem

storm Past the tower
past the fountain
up in the clouds at the top of the mountain
a storm is forming

The clouds start to grow
the wind starts to blow
the sound of the storm can be heard down below

All around is the sound
of the hail pounding down
The shower of hailstones that falls to the ground.

mouse

The shower of hailstones fell down on a mouse
as she was tucked up so warm in her house
and what did this little round mouse have to say?
She said:
Ow! ow! OW!

The shower of hailstones fell down on an owl
as she was out flying around on her prowl
and what did this little brown owl have to say?
She said:
Ow! ow! OW!

The shower of hailstones fell down on a hound
as he was lying, asleep on the ground
and what did this growly old hound have to say?
He said:
Ow! ow! OW!

The shower of hailstones fell down on a crowd
as they were marching around, looking proud
and what did this crowd scream out long and loud?
These hailstones are hurting!
They should not be allowed
OW OW OUCH!"

people So now they're all howling
and yowling
and scowling
growling
and grouchng
slouching
and OUCHing.
They shout very loud "It should not be allowed!"
So stop it you storm clouds right NOW.
