This is to ensure that all children have access to the content both at home and at school. All the spelling activities can be printed out and completed by the children either as a classroom activity or as a homework task.
We suggest that users will get maximum benefit from the activities by working with a partner. This will encourage the children to talk about each spelling strategy, read the text prompts aloud and practise the strategies which require sounding out words.

The interactive and printable resources could be used in combination if the class has access to a computer suite for limited periods or has access to only one or two internet-linked computers. The children could complete some of the activities online and some on paper, coming together as a class to key in the clues and be rewarded with seeing the little animation which rounds off each game.
