Riley's monologue: 'Thicker than water'

This monologue could be used alongside the one published with Episode 13 ('Blowing bulbs') in which Talia described why she had been picking on Riley. Riley describes the repetitive on-going nature of bullying and how this feels to the victim. She realises that she should have told Donnie earlier and that by telling someone the escalation might have been prevented. Together the monologues could support discussion about bullies and victims and the role of people who observe bullying but are not directly involved. They could plan how to raise awareness of the role of these bystanders in preventing bullying in the school and community.
