The Caribbean island country of Puerto Rico is technically a 'territory' of the United States, which is somewhere in between being a full US state like Florida, and an independent country like Jamaica. Puerto Ricans use US dollars and carry US passports, but elect their own government and can't vote in US elections. Many tourists from the USA come to Puerto Rico on holiday.
