When you're talking about seeds or minibeasts you might want to talk about things growing.

Here are some helpful words!

una semilla - a seed

una semilla de judía - a bean seed

una semilla de lechuga - a lettuce seed

Can you see how the type of seed comes AFTER the word ‘seed’?

la raíz - the root

una hoja - a leaf

una rama - a branch

A useful verb is crecer (to grow):

La semilla crece. - The seed grows.

Crece una hoja. - A leaf grows.

Did you notice that you can put the verb (in this case crece) before OR after the noun? It works both ways in Spanish and you will often hear sentences START with the verb.
