Numbers 11 - 20

Please note: There is a short delay when playing the audio clips.

Numbers bigger than ten are useful for telling the time, for example.

Can you see a pattern below?

shí yī / 十 一 - eleven

shí èr / 十 二 - twelve

shí sān / 十 三 - thirteen

shí sì / 十 四 - fourteen

shí wǔ / 十 五 - fifteen

shí liù / 十 六 - sixteen

shí qī / 十七 - seventeen

shí bā / 十 八 - eighteen

shí jiǔ / 十 九 - nineteen

èr shí / 二 十 - twenty

That's right! Eleven is 'ten one'.  twelve is 'ten two' and so on. Twenty is 'two ten'.
