Curriculum Relevance
The website is based on language and topic areas that are nationally accepted as appropriate to children of primary school age. The content will support pupils in primary, middle and special schools. Teachers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will find relevance to the QCA curriculum guidelines and scheme of work for Modern Foreign Languages in Key Stage 2; there are links to the 5-14 Guidelines in Scotland.
The website teaches the key skills of Listening and Speaking and Reading, with provision for the introduction of Writing. There are links to aspects of other subject areas in the Key Stage 2 Curriculum, in particular Citizenship, Literacy, Music and Numeracy.
