For Solids & Liquids Lesson Plan

Encourage the pupils to look at their lists or think of some more examples of common solids, liquids and gasses they know. Ask them to try to divide them into substances they know of that don't exist in another state (e.g. bread dough) and those that do. Encourage them to try to make hypotheses about why this might be and how they would test for this.

For Bones Lesson Plan

Pupils could convert some of their measurements into other metric scales and into rough imperial equivalents. They could also be encouraged to think of reasons why their measurements varied - reasons dependent upon biological factors and upon differences in the way they made their measurements.
