About the tests

What about the Science SATs?

The Science SATs test you on all the different skills and knowledge you will have covered in Year 9. You will be asked to use scientific facts, processes and skills as well as interpreting data and other scientific information. Your Teacher Assessed level will be based on your achievements during investigations and experiments in class.

In Science you will sit particular papers, depending on the level you are working at. These are: Levels 3-6 and 5-7.

How do I Revise for Science?

Science is similar to Maths, in that you need to understand and use the facts, concepts and scientific vocabulary which you will have learnt in class. You will need to revise these to make sure you really know them and are able to use them with confidence. The Science Revision and Test Bites on this website will help you to do this. It will also help you to practise APPLYING that knowledge to different investigations. Just like in English and Maths, practice makes perfect!
