In Collecting and Recording Data 1 we looked at tally charts and frequency tables for discrete data (data which can only take particular values). In this Revision Bite we are going to look at collecting and recording continuous data (data which can take any value).
Examples of continuous data are time, height and weight.
Because continuous data can take any value, there are an infinite number of possible outcomes. So continuous data must be grouped before it can be represented in a frequency table or statistical diagram.
