1. Oes gen ti waith rhan-amser? (NW)/Oes gwaith rhan-amser gyda ti? (SW) - Do you have a part-time job?

Elin says:

  • Oes. Mae gen i waith rhan amser. Dw i’n gweithio mewn siop chwaraeon.

    Yes. I've got a part-time job. I work in a sports shop.

Morgan says:

  • Dw i’n gweithio mewn stablau bob dydd Sul. I fod yn onest, mae’r gwaith yn ddiddorol. Fy hobi ydy merlota, felly dw i’n dwli ar y gwaith.

  • I work in a stables every Sunday. To be honest, the work is interesting. My hobby is horse-riding, so I love the work.

  • Fel arfer, dw i’n gweithio bob bore dydd Sadwrn. Dw i’n dechrau am hanner awr wedi wyth. Mae’n iawn ond dydw i ddim yn hoffi codi yn y bore.

  • Usually, I work every Saturday morning. I start at half past eight. It's OK but I don't like getting up in the morning.

Morgan says:

  • Dw i’n dechrau gweithio am hanner awr wedi saith yn y bore bob dydd Sul. Fel arfer, dw i’n cael lifft gyda fy llys-dad achos mae e’n mynd i’r clwb golff.   • Yes, I like the work because it's interesting. Also, I like the money of course. I don't like the working hours. Sometimes, I'm tired.

Morgan says:

However, Morgan answers the question in full and extends his answers. He tells us what he likes about the work. He also explains that there is a problem with working on a Sunday.

5. Beth ydy'r peth gorau am y gwaith? - What's the best thing about the work?

  • The best thing is the money of course. I'm saving money because I want to buy a new computer.

  • Working with the horses, definitely. The best thing is exercising the horses. To be honest, I enjoy the work and I earn money. It's great. I'm saving money because I'd like to have my own horse in the future.
  • Elin answers using simple vocabulary and basic constructions. However, Morgan answers the question in full and extends his answer. He tells us what he enjoys about the job and why. He gives more than one reason and varies his sentence patterns and tenses.

6. Beth hoffet ti newid am y gwaith? - What would you like to change about the work?

  • I'm not sure. I like the work very much. Maybe I'd like to have more time with the horses. Also, I'd like to compete in a show sometimes.

However, Morgan answers the question in full and extends his answer, which is better. He tells us what he would like to change and what he would do if given the opportunity.
