  • I like going on holiday in Wales because there's plenty to do here.

  • Elin has used simple sentences to answer the question, listing some of the different things you can see in Wales. On the other hand, Morgan has given a lot more information. He has used adjectives to describe the things you can see in Wales.

4. Ble mae’n bosib aros yng Nghymru? - Where is it possible to stay in Wales?

  • In my opinion, Wales is an excellent place to go on holiday because you can stay in fantastic places. You can stay in a caravan or in a hotel by the sea. Also, it's possible to stay in a cottage or on a farm in the mountains. I went on holiday to Aberystwyth in the summer and I stayed in a caravan by the sea. It was fun.
  • Elin chooses to answer in one sentence although she has used two different sentence patterns. Morgan answers the question in much more detail. He uses a variety of sentence patterns and he gives a lot of information about different places to stay in Wales. He has also used the past tense to describe somewhere he has stayed and has used roedd to give his opinion in the past tense.

5. Wyt ti wedi bod yng Nghaerdydd? - Have you been to Cardiff?

  • Yes, I've been to Cardiff. I love rugby, so I go to Cardiff every year to see Wales playing. Also, when I go to Cardiff I enjoy shopping there because there are excellent shops there. I went to the new shopping centre there last month. It was great.
  • Elin has answered the question clearly and has used two sentence patterns. Morgan has used a variety of sentence patterns and has given examples to support his statements. He also uses the past tense to describe a time he went to Cardiff.

6. Pa atyniadau sydd yng Nghaerdydd? - What attractions are in Cardiff?

Cardiff is excellent because there's plenty to do there.
  • Elin has used a simple sentence and has answered the question directly but without much detail. Morgan has gone into a lot more detail and has linked activities with the attractions that he talks about. He also gives an overall opinion of Cardiff, supported by a reason, to end his piece.
