QuestionsHints
  • 1. Beth wyt ti eisiau gwneud heno?
  • What do you want to do tonight?
Aim to answer in a full sentence, using either dw i eisiau or even hoffwn i. Try to give a reason for wanting to do what you say in order to make your work more interesting and to satisfy the marking criteria.
  • 2. Does dim i’w wneud i bobl ifanc yn yr ardal. Wyt ti’n cytuno?
  • There’s nothing for young people to do in the area. Do you agree?
Instead of simply answering yes or no, ensure that you elaborate by expressing your opinion and talking about your personal experience. Say what there is in your area for young people, and what there isn’t. Say how this affects you and your friends and how you would like to solve any problems. Using hoffwn i, say what things you'd like to have for young people in the area.
  • 3. Beth hoffet ti gael yn yr ardal?
  • What would you like to have in the area?
Try not to give just a list here, use adjectives to give more of a description of what you want and also aim to give reasons for wanting the things you want, eg Hoffwn i gael sinema mawr, achos dw i’n mwynhau gwylio ffimiau arswyd gyda fy ffrindiau. Mae’n llawer o hwyl!
  • 4. Wyt ti’n hoffi mynd i’r ganolfan hamdden?
  • Do you like going to the leisure centre?
If you answer yes, then say who you go with, when you go and what you like to do there and why. Give a good reason. If your answer is no, then say why and explain what you prefer to do, giving reasons.
  • 5. Gyda pwy est ti?
  • Who did you go with?
Aim to give details of who you went with. Give their names and say something about them.
  • 6. Ble mae dy ffrindiau’n byw?
  • Where do your friends live?
Put the third person to good use here by not only saying where your friends live, but also to say something about them.
  • 7. Wyt ti wedi bod yn Stadiwm y Mileniwm?
  • Have you been to the Millennium Stadium?
If you answer yes to going somewhere, say when, who you went with and why you went. Try to be automatic in expressing your opinion about what it was like. If you answer no to having been somewhere, say why not or make it known if you'd like to go there. You could talk about somewhere else that you’ve been to. But remember to say when, why, who you went with and whether you enjoyed it.
  • 8. Fwynheuaist ti?
  • Did you enjoy it?
Here is where you get the opportunity to express opinion and use the imperfect tense. Give your opinion using relevant phrases but don’t forget to give valid reasons to support your opinion.
