  • Between 1900 and 1914, there were a number of major incidents which made war inevitable.
  • 1905 - Kaiser Wilhelm promised to help Morocco gain independence.
  • 1908 - Wilhelm called the English 'all mad' and that the Germans hated them.
  • 1908 - Austria annexed Bosnia.
  • 1911 - Revolution in Morocco.
  • 1912 to 1913 - Serbia and other Balkan countries conquered most of Turkeys land.
  • 1914 - Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot in Sarajevo.
