Would you like to go abroad? - Example answers

  • Tu voudrais partir à l'étranger?

Would you like to go abroad?

    Stanislas says:

I'm going to work in the Alps as a ski instructor at Christmas to practise my French.

    Layla says:

I went as an au-pair last year to perfect my French, but I'd like to go further this time because I find it interesting to discover new cultures. I know that there is a charity which organises trips to India where you can teach some children English, and you have time to explore the country as well.

  • Stanislas manages to give a good answer, but the language he uses is not interesting, as it does not contain any complex clauses. Layla, on the other hand, makes a string of complex clauses using 'parce que', 'je sais que', 'qui' and 'où'. She brings in more tenses as well.
