Je suis allée à trois reprises en Angleterre, et chaque fois, j'ai utilisé un moyen de transport différent.

La première fois, j'y suis allée sans mes parents et j'ai pris l'avion. Mon billet a coûté plutôt cher. Le vol Paris-Londres est assez rapide, mais il a fallu arriver à l'aéroport deux heures avant le départ - à un aéroport qui se trouve à l'autre bout de la ville. J'étais assise à côté d'une fenêtre: j'ai vu beaucoup de nuages, mais presque rien d'autre!

La fois suivante, nous y sommes allés en voiture - on a traversé la Manche en ferry. C'était plus pratique, parce qu'on avait beaucoup de bagages. Mais le voyage a cependant pris trop de temps à mon avis, à cause des embouteillages autour de Paris. Et puis, j'ai été malade dans le ferry parce que la mer était agitée!

La dernière fois, on a bénéficié d'une offre spéciale et j'ai pu m'y rendre en Eurostar. Le voyage est trop cher autrement. Il ne dure que trois heures trente et on arrive directement au centre de Londres, à Waterloo. Par la fenêtre, on peut voir évoluer le paysage - c'est génial.

La prochaine fois que je voyage en Angleterre, je voudrais essayer l'Eurotunnel! On m'a dit que cela en vaut la peine.

I've been to England on three occasions and each time I've used a different means of transport.

The first time, I went there without my parents and I took the aeroplane. My ticket was rather expensive. The Paris to London flight was fairly quick, but it was necessary to arrive at the airport (at the other end of town) two hours before departure. I had a window seat: I saw a lot of clouds, but not much else!

The next time, we went there by car - we crossed the Channel by ferry. It was more convenient because we had a lot of luggage. But the journey took too long in my opinion because of the traffic jams around Paris. And then I was ill on the ferry because the sea was rough!

The last time, we took advantage of a special offer and I was able to get there by Eurostar. The journey is too expensive otherwise. It only takes three and a half hours and you arrive directly in the centre of London, at Waterloo. Through the window, you can see the countryside changing - it's great.

Next time I travel to England, I would like to try the Eurotunnel. I've been told that it is worth doing.
