Exam tips

  • The instructions for the listening papers are all in English. Most questions require you to tick boxes or write letters in boxes. For some, you will need to write short answers. These will be in English.

  • It is not always a good idea to write the answer as soon as you hear it - it is more important to finish listening to the whole section so that you don't miss anything. There will usually be pauses between sections which give you enough time to choose or write your answer.

  • In questions like this where you have to fill in gaps, sometimes the information comes up on the tape in a different order to the answer sheet.
