Make sure you are also listening out for adverbs which give you clues about the order of the lessons (eg "après", which means "after").

As well as learning your numbers thoroughly, make sure you revise ordinal numbers too (eg "premier", "deuxième", "troisième"... which mean "first", "second", "third"...).

Listen out for words which sound similar to English, which can help you. "Gymnastique" (gymnastics) is a good example.
