The Reading non-fiction exam isn't just about reading. What the examiners want to see is that you have understood the implications of what you have read; they want you to look beyond the surface.

In this Revision Bite, we will look at two texts and use 'Mind the GAP' to help us pick out the important information in each text. The Test Bite will help you to 'Make a LIST' and then you will have all the information you need to try the comparative essay question.

Click on the links to open the texts in a new browser window. It is recommended that you print both texts out.

It would be a good idea to print out the texts so that you can make notes on them as you would in the exam. You will have the chance to do this on the next page.

Once you have printed the texts, or have them open in other windows, spend a few minutes reading through. You will need them with you to work through the rest of this Revision Bite.
