One of the most important questions you need to think about when you are reading a non-fiction text in your English exam is: Who is the text aimed at (its audience)? In other words - why was the text written? If you can answer this question, you'll easily be able to move on to writing about other aspects of the text such as its purpose, formatformat: each application saves files in a format it can read, eg Microsoft Word saves files with the *.doc extension and the language it uses. You will find that they're all linked together.
