Collecting information is an important part of your project. You will need to collect factsfacts: something that is accurate and true, statistics [statistics: collection and interpretation of data ] and images from various sources.

In this section, you will find out about different types of information you will need for your project and where to find them.

Secondary sources of information

Secondary sources of information: newspaper

If you use information that has been produced by somebody else, it is known as a secondary source. Secondary sources of information include:

  • newspapers, directories, books and maps
  • CDs, DVDs, websites
  • television and radio

It's important to keep records showing where all the information from secondary sourcessecondary sources: a commentary or analysis of information that has been produced by someone else that you used came from.
