Planning

You need to create a project plan for your DiDA product. Set yourself clear objectives that should be achieved at the end of the project. Tables and GANTT charts are useful for project planning.

Project plan

The planning stage [planning stage: identify the main tasks, allocate a timescale to each task and allow for contingencies ] helps you to get through the the project efficiently.

A detailed project plan:

  • identifies all key tasks
  • breaks tasks into sub-tasks
  • puts all tasks into sensible order
  • allocates sensible times to each task
  • includes some time for 'contingencies' (events that could happen in the future, but that aren't planned for)

Key questions to ask when planning your project include:

  • what do I have to produce?
  • what is it for?
  • who is the intended audience?
  • when do I have to have it finished?
  • What resources can I use?

Plan your work properly - before you start. Don't try to do the project and then come back to the plan when you've finished.
