Graphics are visual elements used to make information more interesting or lively. They can be used to enhance many forms of media, from buttons on webpages to road signs.

Using different images

Graphics provide an important way of communicating information and they can be found in many different places. For example:

  • girl looking at some newspapers

    In books, magazines, newspapers, leaflets, poster and flyers

  • warning sign

    On road signs

  • On icons and buttons in system interfaces

  • At information points and on websites

  • chocolate bar wrappers

    On packaging and labels

  • In working plans and models
