Help with plug-ins

There are a number of ways of getting the plug-ins you need.

1.  Use the 'Get Shockwave' button to visit the Macromedia Shockwave site and download the plug-in for free. Their site offers plenty of advice and answers to common queries about plug-ins.

2.  Many Internet magazines have the plug-ins on free CD ROMs they attach to each issue.

3.  There is detailed information about Shockwave on the BBC's help page.

4.  If you've never downloaded anything from the internet before, a good place to start would be Downloading for fun and profit on our beginner's internet service BBC Webwise.

5.  Your final option would be to install the latest version of your Internet browser which has the plug-ins built in. Visit the home pages of Microsoft for Internet Explorer or Netscape.
