Organising a school project
Get active
All it takes to organise a school level citizenship project is a good idea. You see something that needs to be done and you act on it.

The best projects are whole school, because they involve everyone - students across year groups, teachers, parents, governors.

Action points:
Share your idea with as many people as possible.
Write it down so it becomes an action plan.
Decide who needs to be persuaded - and set about this tactfully!
Set up a task group or action committee to co-ordinate the project.
Decide a set of realistic targets - and stick to them!
Let people know what you have achieved by using available media.
Agree what to do next as active school citizens.

To get ideas for your project, learn from these schools in the United Kingdom. The 6 projects here show young citizens taking action against anti-social forms of behaviour in schools and their nearby communities:

Against bullying - Eastlea Community College; Malory School
Against drugs - Archbishop Grimshaw School
Against mugging - Norlington School
Against shoplifting - South Luton High School
