    What are rights and responsibilities?

    Tattoo

    You can get married without your parents agreeing, leave home, buy and drink alcohol in a pub, vote, place a bet and get a tattoo at 18.

    You can take your driving test and buy a car or motorcycle at 17.

    You can: leave school, buy cigarettes, get a National Insurance number, consent to sex, get married (if your parents agree), agree to or disagree with having dental or medical treatment, get a full-time job and join the armed forces at 16.

    You can get a part-time job when you are 13.

    The law says you are responsible for a crime you commit when you are 10.

    You can open a bank account in your own name when you are 7.
