BBC Micro Bit: Excitement grows over mini-computer arrival

17 February 2016 Last updated at 14:25 GMT

Students from Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni in Caerphilly visited the Innovation Lounge at the BBC for a sneak preview of the corporation's Micro Bit mini-computer, which is being given to every Year 7 pupil across the UK.

The Micro Bit is a fun way of introducing young people to coding. Ideas from the pupils on how to use it included a way of stopping a train set from shorting out and making music recordings.

A Welsh language version of this video appeared on BBC Cymru Wales programme Ffeil on Friday 12 February.
