More than 30,000 take part in News Day

  • The 2014 News Day has been the biggest ever with over 30,000 School Reporters from more than 1,000 schools around the UK involved
  • Reports have featured across a huge range of BBC output, from the Today programme to the Six O'Clock News
  • The students had to complete their reports by 14:00 GMT and have them on their special school website pages by 16:00 GMT
  • School Reporters have presented the weather in every one of the 18:30 regional and national TV bulletins around the UK
  • Highlights included pupils co-presenting a special The One Show - and Education Secretary Michael Gove's rendition of the Wham Rap!
  • Mr Gove was among the big-name interviewees, with others including Olympic gold-medallist Rebecca Adlington and the Muppets
