Rebekah Tiler, who is aged 13, has continued to break records during 2013.

The teenager was crowned European youth champion in the +63kg category in Lithuania in September and currently holds 28 British records up to Under-23 level.

She began her sporting career as a sprinter before switching to weightlifting, where she is now one of the youngest athletes to be funded by a governing body as she is on her sport's British World Class programme.

Here, Rebekah answers the questions set by the BBC News School Report team from The Morley Academy in Leeds.

Q: Have you ever experienced discrimination in sport?

A: No, everybody has been supportive and happy in what I have achieved.

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you take?

A: Water, knife and flint to make fire!

Q: Do you have a limit on how far you would be willing to go to become successful?

A: No I have no limits, I will do whatever it takes to be the best I can be.

Q: How has your diet changed because of your sporting career?

A: My diet hasn't changed too much as I have always had a good healthy diet. The only thing I do different is I take protein supplements before and after training.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

A: Train hard and never give up on your dream.

Q: What advice would you give to somebody starting out in your sport?

A: Train hard and listen to advice from others.

Q: If sport doesn't become your career, what would you like to go on and become?

A: I like drama so I would like to become an actress.

Q: How do you pick yourself up again after failing?

A: Forget what has happened and just move on.

Q: Did you enter the sport through chance or personal drive?

A: It was by chance as I originally I was a sprinter and started to do weightlifting to make me faster and then the coach noticed how strong I was, so I took up weightlifting .

Q: If you won the Young Sports Personality of the Year award, how would you celebrate?

A: Firstly I would thank everyone who has supported me then I would go for a weekend away with my family.
