Tabassum and Brando from Skinners' Academy made their way to Wembley to report on Radio 1's Teen Awards. When we came down from the station and walked towards Wembley stadium at that point we were so excited, everything felt surreal.
We were so excited that we didn't even feel the cold outside. Seeing the sign pointing to the event made it all feel more official.
Having done some research on the nominees beforehand, we spent some time outside the arena preparing and practicing for the upcoming interviews and trying to write questions for the celebrities before they started to arrive.
We made our way to our spot on the red carpet in and amongst all the other press - we eagerly awaited the celebrities to come by on their way into perform in the live show.
Rita Ora came by on the carpet and told us she felt 'nervous' ahead of co-hosting this year's Radio 1 Teen Awards.
Pixie Lott told us about her new album, which is coming out soon, and said that it is taking a more soulful direction than her past music.
We asked Swedish duo Icona Pop how they met and we found out that they wrote their first song ‘I love it’ in only a couple of hours.
It wasn't just a big day for us - it was a new experience for 2013 Teen Heroes Jeremiah and Khloe who were nominated as special guests. We bonded with Professor Green who also comes from Hackney, he advised us to avoid all the distractions around us, and told us to never let anyone tell you cannot achieve your dreams. Jeremiah was also very inspiring as he described how much his mother had influenced him to take action when he was growing up.
We grabbed an interview with Conor Maynard who told us that when he was a teen, he didn’t have much interest in music. He said he was ‘just a normal kid at school in Brighton who kept getting sent out of class’ – which he told the School Reporters not to do!
We also grabbed an interview with Jordan from Rizzle Kicks who told us that he wanted to be a footballer when he was a teen, but 'laziness' got in the way so he became a musician!
Interviewing Fall Out Boy was surreal! We asked them loads of questions and talked about them getting back together after a three-year break.
From seeing her on youtube to meeting her on the red carpet, Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella), the winner of the 'Best VLogger Award' was amazing. She was overwhelmed with all the interviews!
And then after the red carpet we got to watch the show live too - which was amazing! Brando's favourite act was Fall Out Boy, whereas Tabassum loved Tinie Tempah and Jessie J.
