Malala Day: Plan UK boss says there's 'a crisis in girls' education'

12 July 2013 Last updated at 14:57 BST

Plan UK's Kerry Smith has told School Reporters Jola and Stacianne, 14, that the 'Because I am a girl' campaign is making sure that girls can "realise their rights around the world" and receive an education wherever they live.

The students, from Robert Clack School in Essex, are reporting on the Malala Day events at the Southbank Centre organised by Plan UK and fellow children's charity A World At School, ahead of a live streaming of Malala's historic speech from the UN.
