GSCEs: School reporters pleased by government 'U-turn'

Plans to scrap GCSEs in key subjects in England and replace them with English Baccalaureate Certificates are being abandoned by the government.

Pupils Emilie and Ben, aged 13, from Hove's Cardinal Newman Catholic School told the BBC News Channel that they welcomed the news.
