GCSEs: Secondary school students welcome exam 'U-turn'

Plans to scrap GCSEs in key subjects in England and replace them with English Baccalaureate Certificates are being abandoned by the government.

Pupils Emilie and Ben, aged 13, from Hove's Cardinal Newman Catholic School welcomed the news, but said they had been confused by the changes.
