A schoolboys' guide to the Budget

Help

On Wednesday, the Chancellor, George Osborne will unveil the Budget and students from Newcastle School for Boys have put together a helpful guide for BBC News School Report.

Alfie, Marcus, Aiden and Dan take a light-hearted look at one of Parliament's showpiece occasions, explain what the Budget is, where the money comes from and how it affects us all.

But despite holding such a high-profile office, they discover that more of their fellow students can identify a photo of Simon Cowell than one of the Chancellor.

School Report is an annual BBC project which helps young people make their own news reports for a real audience.
