6: The Hare and the Tortoise

6: The Hare and the Tortoise

An interactive retelling of the well-known fable by Aesop.

All of the animals are fed up with Hare's boasting about how fast he can run. He considers himself the fastest animal in the world and to prove it he challenges them all to a race.

Only Tortoise, the very slowest of the animals, agrees to race with Hare. But, despite undertaking extensive training, Tortoise doesn't get any faster.

The day of the race arrives and the animals all watch as the race begins. Hare decides it's just too easy and he stops to have a sleep in the sun. Unfortunately for him he sleeps too long...and wakes up much later to see Tortoise crossing the finishing line as the winner.
