Megamaths promotes a whole-class approach to mental maths activities through a series of lively and stimulating quizzes. In keeping with other School Radio mental maths series, each programme follows simple quiz structure with a quick-fire general knowledge round leading to more complex problems. The series offers an ideal means for pupils to consolidate their mental maths skills in a fun and lively way.
Programmes link to mental maths objectives of the National Curriculum for maths at Years 3 and 4 and equivalent levels in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The series also covers 'Key Objectives' of the National Numeracy Strategy for Years 3 and 4.
