Context:
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965) commemorated the role of the Royal Air Force in the Battle of Britain in this single sentence.

The recording actually dates from 1951, Churchill having been persuaded by the BBC to record (or re-record) many of the speeches made during the War years.

Never in the field of human conflict, was so much owed, by so many, to so few.
