| Drama: First Steps in Drama |
 
First Steps in Drama returns with new units linking to exciting historical periods. The topics covered are the plague village of Eyam, WW2 including the Blitz and evacuation, The Great Fire of London and the inspiring story of Grace Darling.
The series is an ideal resource for non-specialist teachers offering a 'ready-to-use' drama resource which will inspire children's learning and development across a range of curriculum areas.

Teaching drama at KS2 is a statutory requirement of the National Curriculum within the key skill of Speaking and listening.
En1 Speaking and listening
Speaking. To speak with confidence in a range of contexts. Listening. To listen, understand and respond appropriately to others Group discussion and interaction. To talk effectively as members of a group. Drama. To participate in a wide range of drama activities and to evaluate their own and other's contributions.
First Steps in Drama also explores a number of important cross-curricular links.
